So that I can provide the best possible care, please feel free to communicate any needs, wants, and/or concerns regarding your child. It is only through good parent/guardian and provider interaction that good quality nurturing care can be achieved.

We at Explore More feel that daily / weekly communication is key to providing your child and family with the best experiences possible. This is why we choose to speak about progress, goals or any problems that should arise on a daily basis. Explore More creates a portfolio for all enrolled. These portfolios are a collection of written observations, photographs, and the child’s work. These portfolios help the staff at Explore More develop a unique curriculum based upon individual needs. The information recorded is an excellent way of documenting what your child does here at Explore More. Anybody interested in meeting with the director can review the portfolios of their children in a conference setting. We offer conferences twice a year but anytime you would like to meet, please ask to do so and we will schedule a time to meet with you. These conferences are not mandatory; however, we do reserve the right to schedule a conference that is mandatory should the need arise.

I will make it a point to chat with you at drop off and pick up each day just to go over how their morning went (so I know what to expect during the day) as well as how their day here went (so you know what to expect at home). During the day I will communicate and/or share photos of our day via the private childcare page on Facebook or through texting. Please let me know if a certain form of communication does not work for you.

If you have questions for me, please feel free to reach out at any time via phone, text, or Facebook. If I do not respond within 10 minutes to a text message, please try sending the message through Facebook Messenger if it is important. My kids might have my phone dead, silent or missing, but the computer will always ding to alert me of incoming messages.

Brightwheel

Families are invited to download the Brightwheel app which allows real-time monitoring of their child’s day. This app provides notification on daily routines such as foods provided, diapering/potty learning updates and naps taken. Brightwheel is also linked to Experience Curriculum, providing families with daily lesson plans and observations of their child, including photos.

Our Facebook page includes general information on our activities, administrative notes, dates to remember, articles on child development and guidance and other items of special interest.
